Works With is Silicon Labs’ flagship conference, bringing together developers, partners, and innovators shaping the future of IoT.

For four consecutive years, I led the creative direction—building a cohesive brand system that scales across hundreds of deliverables and multiple formats.
Context

The Premiere
Wireless Conference

Maintaining a unified identity across three global locations demanded a system that worked anywhere—tight schedules, shifting vendors, and fast-moving requirements included. The brand had to be flexible, scalable, and unmistakably Silicon Labs no matter the venue.

Bridging a Rebrand

Works With needed to evolve alongside Silicon Labs’ broader brand refresh, without losing its own equity. The challenge was to merge a long-standing event identity with a modernized company brand, ensuring both felt cohesive and future-focused. While the previous brand was primarily blue and complex, the new brand needed to become red and striking to match overall company rebrand.

Creative

A Simplified,
Bolder System

The 2025 direction strips the system back to its essentials—one mark, one visual device, one voice. After several years of layered graphic elements, the focus shifted to clarity and impact: a bold logomark, cleaner geometry, and a tighter typographic hierarchy that scales effortlessly across digital and physical applications.

Environmental Design

The environmental design concept stripped everything back to the bold, minimal language of the rebrand — focusing on the connection between Silicon Labs developers and the people their products ultimately reach. All the developers were actual Silicon Labs employees captured during a photoshoot in the our testing lab, which I creatively managed.

Digital Design

Where the physical environment commanded attention with bold color and scale, the digital presence took a different direction — dark, immersive, and rooted in the visual language of science fiction. Every executive keynote received a fully custom presentation — each one designed to carry the same visual weight on stage as the brand did on the show floor.

Conclusion

Our Most Successful Tradeshow

Building Works With from the ground up meant solving for every touchpoint simultaneously — physical environments, digital platforms, social content, and C-suite presentations. Over three years as the sole creative lead, I developed a unified identity system across 400+ deliverables in three cities, reaching 2,000+ attendees annually. That system now serves as the foundation for the conference's brand moving forward.

Works With is a genuinely valuable event because it brings together executives, innovators, and decision-makers from across the world in one place. It creates the kind of environment where ideas are shared, partnerships are formed, and IoT inspiration can move from concept to design, and from design into production.
